changed perspective

Over the weekend I discovered the following quote:

When I read it, I immediately re-classified every thought I have ever had about challenges faced and obstacles over come.

Instead of  trying to achieve a preconceived notion of how things should be or constantly working toward an ultimately unobtainable goal of perfection, what if instead we think of life not as an endeavor to achieve something intangible and incalculable but rather as the constantly evolving process of creating the person that we already are.

After reading these simple two sentences I felt instantly more happy and I know re-framing my thoughts this way going forward will help me to appreciate life as it comes, rather than to be constantly obsessed with getting ahead and achieving the next desired stage in life.

Another phrase that helped me overcome some procrastination induced, bar review related stress this past weekend:

I hope you had lovely weekends : ) and if you are in New England, enjoyed the gorgeous weather!
