Graduation Party Pt. I

With officially less than one month of classes before reading week and final exams, I am embracing the "calm before the storm" and indulging by day dreaming about graduation. I did not participate in commencement festivities when I graduated from college because I finished up my course work almost a full year early and did not want to return to California just to walk across the stage. At times I regret that decision so I FULLY intend to make the most out of my law school graduation. I am envisioning an entire day of events with my closest friends in family. Starting early in the morning while I get ready, and culminating in probably a barbecue or lobster bake in the evening. Party planning takes time and organization, so I am taking the opportunity to make a series of posts documenting my ideas.

First up: a mimosa bar!

I like the idea of my guests being able to customize their drinks. Because I have been obsessed with blood oranges lately I think I will create a custom drink for myself in honor of my big day -- a blood orange mimosa!

Possible recipe here.

Stayed tuned as I come up with more ideas for celebrating graduation : )
