Future Office

I have officially five full months until I start my job this fall. Though I am not wishing away the next few months, I am incredibly excited to start the non-student phase of my life! Lately I have been catching myself day dreaming about decorating my future office.

Here are some images inspiring me:

Any one of these components in my office would be a step in the right direction to achieving a very classic and conservative look. I am in love with this desk  . . . but I think I might have to settle for a green leather desk pad. I firmly believe that if you are going to spend day in and day out in your office, it should be a reflection of you and it should be aesthetically pleasing. The scales of justice (image two) would look fantastic on a book case. I saw some for sale at an antique store, the same beautiful gold color, going for $95. I am crossing my fingers that I may be able to find some cheaper in the future.

In the more immediate future, I am dying to update my home office a little bit . . . I need a book case, a new desk chair, and some organizing elements. I am currently obsessed with the idea of reupholstering a pair of wing back chairs and have been keeping my eyes peeled on craigslist for some good ones. I am also currently loving lucite: trays, desk organizers, and furniture. Stay tuned : )
