On a less trivial note, with BBQs, beach days, ridiculous shopping deals, and the first signs of summer, it can be so easy to forget to true reason for this three day holiday weekend. Even though our time as a navy family seems farther away as each year passes, I still want to take the time today to feel thankful, grateful, and blessed that my husband remained safe while serving our country and to thank every other service member and their families for their courage and sacrifices.
